Welfare Services & Employment
How can we help?
Practical issues to do with Welfare at University are mostly dealt with by the Student Support Centre. However, if you are having difficulties with relationships, perhaps with housemates or classmates that are impacting on your University experience then the Counselling and Wellbeing Service can help.
You may be dealing with bullying or stress in work or struggling to manage a job and study.
If you are a member of University staff, issues to do with employment such as challenging relationships with colleagues or managers can be discussed in Staff Counselling. Further if you are facing cuts and threats of redundancy many of our courses can be helpful, such as 'Living with Uncertainty'. Other issues commonly brought to Staff Counselling include: difficulties with work home life balance; career issues; work overload; relationship problems, divorce; bereavement; domestic violence; depression and anxiety.
