Applications are considered from candidates offering a range of qualifications.
Applicants who have not studied the language previously are welcomed on both the German, Spanish and Italian degree programmes. Grade B or above in another foreign language at A Level is normally required.
General Studies A-Level is not accepted.Critical Thinking A-Level is accepted.
For Politics, all A-Level subjects are weighed equally, except for General Studies.For European Union Studies, you may study either one or two languages.

In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, competence in the English language is also a strict criterion of admission. More information is available on the English Language Requirements webpage.
There are no specific additional requirements for admission.
Resit applicants are accepted and will be considered on an individual basis.
