Cabinet minister Hilary Benn has called on the whole country to change attitudes in the fight against climate change.
The Environment Secretary was speaking before an invited audience at an event hosted by the Welsh School of Architecture.
The Head of School, Professor Phil Jones, introduced the minister and also outlined the School’s own work on sustainability in building design over the past 30 years.
Mr Benn told his audience he believed the Government’s objective of a 60 per cent cut in CO2 emissions by 2050 was attainable if everyone played a part.
He said: "We should have a picture of the world as it might be, and here in this great institution, you are training and education people who will make that picture a reality."
The event was also addressed by Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing Jane Davidson, who also congratulated the School on its work and outlined the targets for reduced Carbon emissions in Wales.
