The Centre for Lifelong Learning is holding two Open Days to promote its wide range of courses.
The Open Days take place on September 8 and September 12, showcasing this autumn’s part-time courses, which are open to all adults in a range of subjects.
There will be free taster sessions, and the chance to discuss options for study with lecturers, tutors and other students.
Information will be available on subjects including foreign languages, business and management, computer studies, law, science and the environment, and social studies. Staff will be able to help you enrol on the courses of your choice.
Both days feature a Chinese Culture Taster, for anyone interested in China, its geography and culture. There is also a Mandarin Chinese Taster, a short friendly session run by the Centre’s Confucius Institute, offering the chance to learn a few basic words of Chinese. The Institute runs a range of courses in Chinese, from beginner to advanced.
For those interested in the Centre’s wide range of European language courses, there will be screenings of films in French, Spanish, Italian and German. The Centre offers courses in all these languages, as well as Croatian, Greek, Irish, Portuguese, Russian, Polish and Turkish.
