Iron Age and Archaic Greece - 20 credits (HST510)
This module covers the art and archaeology of the Aegean from c. 1200 to 479 BC, from the fall of the Mycenaean palaces to the Persian Wars. Students learn about the historiography of the period, the questions that have informed its study, and the long-term processes that characterise the period as a whole, such as state formation and the impact of the Near East.
