What would you recommend about studying for the MA in Islam in Contemporary Britain at Cardiff?
I would recommend the course for two reasons. Despite its niche title, the course academically unpacks the most salient issues of identity and citizenship affecting religious minorities in Britain today. Moreover, in association with the Cardiff School of Social Sciences, it provides in-depth training in social research methods. These series of courses discuss the philosophical underpinnings and limitations of social science research, which is instrumental when considering this often highly polarised area of study.

What is the best thing about being a student at Cardiff?
There is a great deal of interaction between the Centre of Islam in the UK and the wider academic community. The Public Lecture Series is a unique opportunity to learn about the most up-to-date research taking place in the field of Islam in Contemporary Britain and to personally meet scholars to discuss their most recent work.
