Research on Gender History
Gender History at Cardiff is a flourishing area of research and a distinct strength in the department. Research covers a broad spectrum of periods and is underway on the Medieval, Early-Modern and Modern periods in Britain, Europe and British India.
Aspects considered include: the medieval English lady; medieval masculinity; the role of women in the Crusades; gender and crime; sexuality; gender history and women's history in France; women and health in the twentieth century; and gender relations in India.
