Discussing whole genome sequencing in medical practice

Social scientists will discuss social, ethical, legal and practical aspects of the application of whole genome sequencing in medical practice, with primary care workers. Should other family members be informed about results? If so, who by? Will people's worries about their (family's) future health have an impact on primary care delivery?
This event has been organised by the ESRC Centre for the Economic and Social Aspects of Genomics (CESAGen), within the School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University, as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science. The Festival, which offers a fascinating insight into some of the country's leading social science research, takes place throughout the UK as a celebration of the social sciences.
