SOCSI Student Team

This is a student led initiative designed to offer practical, honest advice on life as a student both within the SOCSI department and Cardiff University in general. A team of 2nd and 3rd years is available to answer any questions, both academic and social. Need advice on ‘which textbooks are the most helpful for your module?’, or even ‘which takeaway does the best margarita pizza?’ Please email your question here: SOCSIstudents-team@cardiff.ac.uk

SOCSI Open Days

...so you've applied, or thinking of applying...

We run a number of Undergraduate Open Days during the year. Some are more suitable for people who are thinking about applying to us (the annual University Open Day and University Visit Day) and others are designed specifically for people who have already applied to us and have received an offer of a place with us (School Open Days and Humanities Open Days). Further information available here. Open day videos can be viewed at the bottom of this page.

SOCSI Facebook and Twitter

See our special Facebook page for prospective students. It’s linked to SOCSI’s Twitter account, so it has regular daily feeds about what we’re doing within the School, media like SOCSI TV videos, and also includes any relevant application news which you’ll find useful:

In addition, Cardiff University has set up ‘Cardiff Insiders’ on Facebook, enabling you to see the experiences of current students (from our school and others), who are sharing their real-life experiences online.
